Wedding Invitations

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! We understand the important role invitations will play in your special day. You’ll want them to beautifully reflect your unique style as a couple, and also communicate important information. We would be happy to both design and letterpress print custom wedding invitations for you. Alternately, if you’re a graphic designer or you’re working with a designer, we can letterpress print a design you provide to us. Please note that before any design is finalized or submitted, we’d like to provide some guidelines and best practices for letterpress printing.

Quality letterpress printing takes time and attention to detail. Planning ahead will be an important aspect of working with us. If you would like to hire us for both the design and printing of your invitations, please plan on an eight to ten week window to complete this work. If you’re hiring us to print only, plan on a four to six week window. These extended timelines allow us to work your project into our workflow, send you design options and proofs, order and receive materials, and give the elevated attention to detail your invitations deserve.

To determine a print deadline for your invitations, start by knowing other deadlines first, then work backwards. Key dates and tasks to consider include:
1. Date of the wedding.
2. Date you want your guests to reply by (X weeks before wedding).
3. Date you want your guests to receive the invitations by (X weeks before wedding).
4. Date you want to mail your invitations by (X weeks before wedding).
5. How you will address your envelopes to your guests. Try to estimate the number of days or weeks this task might take. Depending on the number of invitations and the method used, the amount of time can vary. For example, will you use a digital printing service, hire a calligrapher, or handwrite each address yourself?
