Private Events

We enjoy sharing our love and knowledge of letterpress printing. We also enjoy hosting individuals and small groups in our studio. We’d be glad to work with you to plan a specific date and time for a private event. Our workshops are currently designed for adults and children over age 14. Tours, team building, print parties, ladies’ night out, one-on-one instruction, we’re open to all of these ideas and more.

Private Tours

We’re always interested in connecting with other letterpress enthusiasts. Our home-based studio is not typically open to the public, but If you or your small group would like to visit please contact us to schedule a day and time. We’d be happy to show you around and give some simple demonstrations.

Our studio is located on a walk-out basement level. If navigating stairs is an issue we have a direct studio entrance. From the street, walk across a small grassy area and up once step into the studio.

Small Groups & Team Building

Want to plan creative time with a group of friends, or reinvigorate your coworkers with a team building experience? We can adapt any of our workshop curriculums into private sessions for small groups and teams. The maximum number of guests we can comfortably accommodate is six.

As a general guide, the pricing for private workshops will be the same as public workshops. If we are adapting a workshop to fit the needs of a specific group, we will work with you to determine if the pricing will also change.

One-on-One Instruction

Interested in diving deeper into letterpress – perhaps even buying your own equipment – but you’re not sure what’s right for you? Book a private session with us. We can teach you the basics of letterpress, how various presses work and allow you to experience them hands-on. We have a Vandercook SP-15 cylinder proofing press. We also have three platen presses: a floor model Chandler & Price (Old Style with foot treadle), a table-top Chandler & Price (Pilot), and a Sigwalt No. 11.

Pricing starts at $75 for a 1.5 hour session with one student.
