Linocut Art Printmaking Workshop, March 8
Workshop time: 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Workshop size: up to five participants, ages 16 and up.
Location: Nesja Press, 307 Green Street, Mount Horeb, Wis.
Starting with a 5 x 7 sheet of linoleum, participants will carve an image of their choice and print it on 8 x 10 cotton paper. You are encouraged to think about an artwork idea or design before arriving. Christy will provide examples and some guidance prior to the workshop. We'll use an ink brayer and our Vandercook press for printing. Leave with up to five art prints suitable for framing.
Price includes all materials and one-on-one instruction from Christy. Wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes and clothing you don’t mind getting ink on. Be prepared to stand as you work. Stairs are required between studio level and restroom. Our studio can sometimes feel cooler, we suggest wearing layers. Please bring your own covered water bottle and non-alcoholic beverages if you’d like to have something to drink while you work.
